UPDATING

Yes, it's that time of year again! Where I take a slight sigh after a busy summer and sit....for a few moments at least...and attempt to make sure my content is all up to date.

So far, 2009 has been an amazing year, and I've had the opportunity to meet and work with some amazing people including legendary actress Sybil Danning, musician George Clinton, actor Jason Mews, and comedian David Cross.

Makeup Show LA 2009

I recently had the pleasure of working the LA Makeup Show with All About FACE Academy. I must say it was quite a success, and we had excellent models that I airbrushed the company logo on, to promote the school and Airbrush Workshops.

The graduate students were doing makeup, brows, hair and promoting the school all day. The CEO/Founder Nakeah Fuller was a keynote speaker on the panel about working in LA.

The photo below was taken with a camera phone, but there are more photos to come. In the meantime, check out more photos here. I also must thank the amazing AAF students for helping me with the stencil- and a special kudos to Jessica:)

Check out our review at Beauty Junkies too!

Holidays

So I am off to Seattle for Christmas, and off to work! Just packed my bags and off to the airport again!

Update

I cannot believe it's been 4 months since my last blog- where does the time go??? My career is going well since venturing to Los Angeles, and it slowly starts to feel like home to me. I'm still working in Seattle though- the people I work with there are amazing!

The last few months Melanie Melanie and I have done more of our well-recieved collaborations, and are starting to get noticed for them. More are planned for the fall. Neither one of us would say it's always easy, but the results are great. It's more challenging to collaborate with another makeup artist, yet that much more rewarding in a way.

Right now I'm playing catch up with my portfolio....so I hope you enjoy the new eye candy:)

Cheers,

Christina

Another Update

Just got samples of the photos I worked on with James at Studio 889, and designer k. Flynn

This was a really amazing team of people! Very talented, professional and fun. Jenise's "gloves" in the last shot are airbrushed on. There is another look from this shoot too that I'm very excited to see.

Update

This has been quite the busy year so far. Currently, I'm in Seattle for a few weeks working on photo shoots, corporate videos, and some portfolio work.

Later this month it's off to Tennessee, doing makeup at a photo seminar.

Then back to Hollywood:) I am loving LA so far- there are so many amazing people doing amazing things. Not to mention the weather is amazing!!!

Here's a few things I have worked on since moving to LA:

-interning with Chiodo Brothers, including being on the makeup team and monster-making team for the film "The Lost Skeleton Returns Again"

-various makeup/hair for print and events, including Racecar driver/TV Hostess Ashley Van Dyke; Playmate Spencer Scott; Gospel singer Sharon Maree; MPinups- a new swimsuit model website; wss-footwear fashion show

-traveled up to San Francisco to work with photographer Vance during the Fetish Ball weekend. Got to work with models Darenzia and Natalie Addams, designer Antiseptic Corsets, and hair stylist Linh Nguyen from NYC. An amazing experience and equally amazing photos:)

Cheers- until next time..

New Year, new city!

Happy '08!! So as you may already know, I've ventured down to Los Angeles. The city is amazing...so many new things to do, exciting people to work with, new things to learn, and of course beautiful weather!

But I am still working/ available to work in Seattle as well. There will be several trips back and forth this year, so let me know if you would like me on a shoot in either place.

Cheers!

I love my job!!

These next few weeks should prove to be exciting! I have a couple shoots as a model; it's always fun to change positions...kind of gives you a new perspective.
I'm excited about every job I have this month- among them are a series of masks, consultations, and fun makeup for Gay Pride weekend!
Also, I have a shoot coming up with one of my favorite photographers and three of my favorite models...don't want to give it away, but it's going to be amazing!

This week

Has been busy, busy and fabulous!!! The shoot with Melanie Melanie and Michael Riedel was amazing. I couldn't be happier with the results...what amazing people to work with.
More to come on the photos, but I'm loving the 2 on here...

Also, I did a shoot with Soul'd Out Show and Howard Petrella yesterday. That was a really fun band and group of people to work with. I already know these photos will be amazing because Howard is sooo brillant, and the band did an amazing job too. Can't wait to see those!

That's all for now- more updates after I return from NYC next week. Got to get up early tomorrow and get on that plane- whoohoo!!

Current Projects

Last weekend was fun! I worked with Eva and Cody, performers at Little Red Studio. They are doing and ongoing performance as "creatures". They told me the concept for their piece, and these pics show what we came up with! Creatures pics
Unfortunately, we did not have their professional photographer or lights on hand, so we had to use what was available.

Also worked with Gage Konnor and Catrina for an SG shoot with a military theme. Can't wait to see the photos- they are going to be absolutely adorable. I love working with such fun and talented people!

I'm looking forward to Friday too- I'm collaborating with makeup artist Melanie Melanie, for a portfolio shoot.

What else I'm doing this week: Glamour shoots, Makeup party, and freelancing at MAC in Bellevue

Next Week
Band photos, Glamour shoot, model shoot...then off to New York for the Makeup Show!!!
